h0tr0dder_uk
What is the most amount of backspace you can have on a front wheel of an A series? I want to run a 17x8" rim with 6.2" of backspacing. I wan to know if this will foul the suspension, anti roll bar etc. I don't mind limiting the steering lock a little, modifying the front valance etc if needed. 611
You will have to do something to the front valance as even on 7 1/2 x 15 mine catch (use to!) on full lock. I think you should be ok suspension wise as there is quite a bit of space on the A Andy

h0tr0dder_uk
Andy - do you know what your offset / backspacing is? I found some 7.5" wide rims that might work
Paul Barrett
I have 8" on the front of my build atmo, it clears all the suspension etc, but in not running a roll bar but using compression struts. I think it's just body tun that gets in the way.
doveyte2800
we used to use a 0 ET offset on 7" wide 13" rims but we had to use a 25mm spacer between disc and wheel to clear the brake calipers.
611
This is the wheel spec. I had the problem with it scuffing the valance on full lock and mostly when reversing. Not sure it it was not helped by worn bushes. I now have new anti roll bar and suspension bushes but not had the car on the road to try it. I did try some 6mm spacers to see if that helped but it made no difference. Hope some of this helps. Andy
