IanMc
Has anyone successfully fitted an interior/courtesy light time delay unit to their car? The light going off as soon as you shut the door is a bit irritating to be honest and one of the things that I would like to add to my car. You know one of those subtle, practical upgrades that just makes day to day use a little bit easier. I appreciate that you can just put the light on manually of course, but then I have to do something and I prefer something to do the job for me lol
Dimpas
Astras Mk2 MK3 and Vectras had this system. You can built your own if you know about electronics too... Its very convenient having it.
Mickfrad
Not sure if these timers are any good. Quite basic but cheap enough to give a go. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F200711585515 https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F280645125423
cam.in.head
You used to be able to get a little 2 wire black tubular unit that just wires into the courtesy light wire and earth. Last time i looked there were a couple on ebay..give about 15 sec and then a fade away

Dimpas
The easy project is the time delay.... the difficult one is the time delay with fade function...

Interesting, I would have thought that one of the units available acts like a capacitor to store power for a certain amount of time. Then as the stored power is diminishing the light would fade out? gt/e paul
I bought a couple of these from a car show some time ago. A little long black tube with a red and a black wire. Easy to fit too. I think was made by pearl products.
