Huge Vibration between 10-30mph...

Hi

So this will be my first post. I tried the search in the forum but I only found issues regarding vibrations which increased with speed.

My car starts vibrating at 15mph and stops completely at about 30mph. It is a bit of a strange thing....then at around 70mph you get another sort of vibration, which I will  tackle at a later stage. But for the meantime I would appreciate any for the big vibration, which by the way there is no need of gear engagement or even engine running!

Many thanks in advance

so to be clear.... if you get up to above 15 mph and either turn the engine off or drop the clutch the vibration is still there ?

has any recent work been done regarding removing propshaft, gearbox ,brakes or wheels/tyres ?    loose nuts ?

the fact that it dissapears after 30 is weird, are the brakes all free to turn ,discs or drums not distorted ? or as mentioned any tyre irregularities ?

Thank u all.... It was the prop shaft Ujoints..the 4 nuts in the rear side of the shaft were quite lose, even though they have the retaining washer... Furthermore, the whole part was slightly offset to one side, hence the vibration.

After a bit of tightening all 4 shaft bolts, replacing the engine  (in this case gearbox) mount which was broken and replacing the spring at the gearbox end that pushes the shaft longitudinally to the rear.... the vibration was gone.

There are still minor vibrations which still have to be traced... Not sure whether to look in the bearings or bushings....

Glad you caught it before it failed
