mepbowles
I've always wanted a model of my car painted as mine is but the models are much too expensive. These 3D Printable models are pretty cheap and can likely be cut and shunted to make a Cavalier MK1. Once painted and with some perspex for the glass, it should look pretty good. I'll hopefully be buying a printer in a year or so once things have settled down a little at home so exciting project for the future. Jessopia74
Interesting stuff! Funny enough I did enquire about having one of my shells full underside mostly, 3Dscanned but it would cost around 1K from those interested in doing it.

Jessopia74
They should be able to be scaled up or down if the resolution is good enough
mepbowles
Weirdly they offer the manta in 1/10 or 1/24 but the Ascona only in 1/24. Scaling down or up should be fine but I guess it depends on how the extra detail is handled. I think 1/10 might cause issues for many without large printing beds. Metalbasher
Printing with an FDM printer will not offer a decent surface finish I’m afraid, although there is some scope to clean up a little by sanding or some people wipe with acetone. A resin SLA printer will give a far superior finish but is a messier process. I’ll try an FDM print in the first instance and report back. Quite correct to say the file can be scaled as needed, but limited by print bed size (unless we do a cut & shut..)

He is used to a bit of cut & shut..
