joemaxi
Hi Guys! I`m looking for a bit of info, and pics if possible,on an i200 I used to own. The reg is C202TVT. I bought the car about 11 years ago from Glasow and it was a bit of a shed! I had a huge amount of welding done and had the car resprayed but the guy who painted it must have been shortsighted as it wasn`t the best job! I sold the car as I had moved house and had no where to keep it! Any info would be appreciated!

Big B i200
Hi Joe, I owned it from 2002 to 2006, and it never got on the road, one of the members on here now owns it and is rebuilding it. I bought it from another member on here in Grangemouth. It was previously owned by both my cousin and another mate back in the early 90s. Its still out there. I have lots of pics of the bad bits, will try and look them out, also have some of it from back in the day when it was mint. It was my 2nd i200 and 3rd Manta, now onto my 4th Manta and 3rd i200. Big B i200
Wullie, Pete has been known to be on here but infrequently. The Turbo is fleeing but not been out much this year other than Billing, as weather not been great and I got married at end of July. Keith, the pictures in my garage are a number of years old, the interior was grey not brown, think the pics are misleading. And the i200 for sale was Blitzis. BigP
I'm BigB's mate (of old) who owned C202TVT in the 90's. Some of the pics shown were mine taken outside my house at the time. I'll put my hands up to some of the front end welding. After about 2 months of great weather circa 1990-91 it pissed down one day. All the oil dropped on the road decided to rise up just at the point I needed to perform an emergency stop. An accident on the other side of the road meant the Escort in front of me slammed on the anchors. I hit the brakes and skated merrily across the oil and stuffed the Escort up the trumpet. Alas, the next day me and BigB's cousin +1 were due to head down to Cumbria in the thing for the RAC rally - which didn't happen, as it had no nose. We decided to take the +1's XR3 until it blew the head gasket as we left Greenock. A plod at the time assumed as we exited the motor at 5am that we had nicked it - which was entertaining as BigB's cousin was a traffic cop.... We ended up doing the RAC in the cousin's girlfriends 205, although I'm sure the video evidence of the trip was never made public. We did however increase the Vmax of the 205 by about 30MPH over the course of the day. Other than that, I sold the car to an antiques dealer before spotting it 6 years later at the site of the (now) tall ship in Glasgow where the owner at the time had stripped the Rothmans stripes off it, before realising that replacements were about £500. I looked for the car for a while until Brian phoned me to check the registration a few years back, as he'd just bought it. I'd actually be interested in the car if it came up for sale, so if it's going to be sold, let me know ;-)
