steel
parts are getting hard to get and very expensive new some panels are hard to get again generally expensive as are things like door seals ect manta 400,s fetch a premium you can pick up a gte hatch for a few hundred upwards coupes fetch more i have a manta project bought as a rolling shell for a couple of hundred and i have a 2.8i capri as well Edited September 11, 2011 by steel
shadowhound
i didn't realise they was getting harder to find parts well the menta is almost the same as a capri when fixing so why not build it up like a capri with parts easier to find and fabracte wings and stuff yourself i would love an GTE they remind me of a mustang

adz the stig
body parts i wouldnt say are to hard to find (i find alot! lol) but if it need some bits of the shell needing replacing the that will be on the costly side of things. i went to buy some bits and bobs not long ago and the chap had a manta and a capri sat out side for the same number of years. the manta was still standing on her own( on 4 wheels) but the capri had calapised with the wight of the 2.8 by the looks of it. as i'm finding out there are lots of totally dead classic's up where i live . P.S sorry if the spelling is crap!

adz the stig
lol i'm 22 with no no clames bonus 4 nearly 5 years of driving. one crash 4 years ago. all for the great price of £750 lol which is good. i'm with swinton. but i drive a l200 most of the time. bits of bodys. ie rear quartor, chassis bits, roofs(non-sun roof) front ends. they cost but not as much as i think they should be worth. if that makes sense
Sutty2006
Ditch the cart sprung ford and buy a manta. Hehe. I'm 23 and insurance for my GT hatch is £180 with no ncb on classic policy!
