GTREA
I want to paint my Manta...and I can't because no one can help me with the paint code! All I have is: Sapphire Blue L218 1978 Opel It is not coming up in any local systems here. Is that the correct code? The only one they can find is Pastel Blue 4061 for a 1978 Opel I have now rang 3 paint suppliers no one can help
Rapierdave
It looks like 218 is the correct paint code, take a look at these links. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_190388_langId_-1_categoryId_165505 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Touch-Paint-OPEL-Vauxhall-SAPPHIRE/dp/B004N2H7UM

GTREA
Thanks guys The paint shops told me unpopular colours can be dropped from the computer system, but the paint suppliers may still have the colour mixtures. The more imformation I have at hand the better
GTREA
I tried all those paint codes from the Halfords link Dave The Halfords Vauxhall 'Sapphire Blue' car spray paint is an exact match for the Vauxhall codes: 25L, 218, 3BB, PJ. ,...and thought I had it on the 25L as it came up as a GM colour, but turns out is was some Daewoo 1990's shitbox and the wrong blue. I then rang PPG paints who I found out had a shop/depot here in Perth, 218 came up in there system no problem, I drove 45 minutes there only to find they want $1179 (AUS) for 4 litres of paint and clear!!!!!!! Screw that, all of the other suppliers I have rang range from $190 to $343. What I really need is the ingredients / Mixtures for Sapphire blue so I can take it to my local place and he can make up. Otherwise im just going to paint it Porsche Sapphire blue
mepbowles
Did you ever solve this problem? I'm having the same problem trying to find Sapphire Blue Metallic in the UK. Tbf, it may just be my inexperience though!
Jonathan Pounsett
Try Octoral Paints. They made up my paint from the Opel code and it’s a perfect match.
Trooker
You can load this page in Google translate, it looks like 218 is Sapphire Blue https://www.opel-infos.de/codes/farben/farbcode.html
