I did Nurburgring back in 2008 in a stripped out Golf GTi (rent.de-racecar)

It wasn't fast, but it was fast enough to have some fun...............and fast enough to get you into trouble!

Although you may Nudge 130mph a few times the last thing i would be worried about is aerodynamic aids.

Just drive your car and yourself to 8/10's of your abilities (whatever comes first :) ) and go out and have some fun, don't push to hard or try and set a lap record and put it into the barriers and ruin what would otherwise be an awesome experience!

Practice the track heaps on Xbox or whatever, it does help you to learn the track as there is a lot of blind corners.

Make sure your car is sound as far as tyres brakes and suspension is concerned.

Also make sure you have track insurance, if you do have an accident, god forbid, then you will be charged for recovery and any damage you have done to the Armco which can run into 3 figures + if your car is badly damaged you will need recovery back to the UK and the normal RAC or AA cover will not cover you for track accidents.

Don't want to put you off,go for it and enjoy but make sure you are prepared. Wish I could join you:-)

the one thing ive experianced so far in my Hatch is the XE engine over powers the 14inch ronal alloys. Sure enough I can hoon it about, but try and SEND IT IN to a corner too fast and the suspension/tyres cant handle the speed. I never have a problem with the arse end kicking out unless im on a slippy roundabout, in the wet, and im feeling lucky.

Like Mantaray says. Make sure you are prepared for it, I wanted to take mine this year but my plans have changed and im buying a house instead so funding will be cut off :(

Make sure you get plenty of pictures to bring back!

So, road trip to Nurburgring in June, should have 225+hp so i reckon should maybe wind up to 130mph, what do they (hatch) handle like at that speed, rear wing needed?? Any advice?

When in June are you going?, I will be near the track first weekend in June.
