By my reckoning there are currently 8 Manta hatchbacks for sale in the UK including this one & that expensive one for £13999.

Most that have MOT's & require little or no restoration are priced around £4500 -£5000.

It can only be the amount available plus maybe the time of year that's keeping the price well below an equivalent coupe.

This was on ebay last year, then sold to these guys who have tried to sell it on a couple of occasions now. Rare car but top dollar being asked.

Indeed it was. D131AFA  Link to original Ebay ad with large photos:

Well that's a good question. I'd imagine an offer around £3250 might secure it.

As to what it's actually worth in it's present condition, probably a good bit less given it needs a bit of work and a respray. All depends if you can do it yourself or if you have to pay for any work needed.

Its worth in a real world (lets face it, its going to be rotten) it needs a full respray etc. I would be asking £1895 with a view to taking £1700. It is not worth anything near £3000 (as he is currently finding out)

Totally agree with Danny on this one.

Lots of nice hatches currently for sale between £4K - £5K, why would you pay £3K for this one when you would have to spend a minimum of another £3K to bring it to A1 condition (assuming you did the work yourself & just outsourced the respray).
