And the Varajet carb is not that bad, that says a lot about the skills of the owner/mecanical ...

I agree ,nothing wrong whatsoever with varijets providing they are set up right. 

Car looks in good shape ,interesting top hose !

I had one on a MK 2 Cavalier, they do have one incurable fault, the spindles turn in plain drill holes and as the mileage gets high these wear oval and let air in meaning it's impossible to stop them running a little weak.
