®evo03
Lookin at the torsen bar going to the left, is there a flat spot on it, therefore it rests against the right? Also overspray on panel behind makes it look like its fitted wrong! Can check and confirm if you are not sure. If the hinge is a coupe hinge and not a saloon, could it have been damaged previously by a spare wheel?
Jonathan Pounsett
I don’t think mine have ever been removed.
cam.in.head
i dont think its an issue with the torsion rods anyway.plus they look to be fitted correct. i would say you just require a different but correct hinge and then reinforce it as suggested. the original hinge is weak and bent anyway so will bedifficult to return to perfect.this must just be an issue with coupe hinges (maybee passenger side only)as ive never ever seen a saloon do that. they are obviously cranked a little to avoid the spare wheel but yours looks too bent to reuse in my opinion. hoobby
One thing I noticed the n/s torsion rod is noticeably thicker than the o/s maybe an exclusive thing to take the extra weight of the spoiler can some confirm this is correct as surely going to twist the boot when shutting? Also has surface rust the other doesn't doesn't look like it's original.
