phil369x
Looking to buy a new set of wheels and tires after I lower my Manta A about an 1". I'm thinking 15"x7"for the wheels. The question is what tire size AND offset on the wheel should I ask for when ordering? I don't want guesses; I need a definitive answer since this is a large outlay of cash and it needs to be right the first time. Thank you for any help Edited January 9, 2022 by phil369x forgot info
rutts
Good off set for the a series is what was fitted on the sport versions. 13x7 et20 ats classics. a 15x7 et 20 will fit nicely with 205 50 15 tyres. I have 8x13 ats classics et00 they will stick out on standard arches with 205 60 13 tyres. If you download the tyre and wheel conversion app you can play with off sets. 611
This is what im running on my A series with lowered suspension. and the tyres are 205 x 50 x 15. I did fold the rear arch lip and you might find on full lock revering sometimes they will catch on the front lower valance, so i had to fold the lip on that up a bit to clear. Depends on how low it is and you probably wont know until you fit the wheels and try.
phil369x
Where would I find the tyre and wheel conversion app? I know nothing about "off set" or as some call it "back spacing" (if they are even the same thing). Thank you!
611
A little explanation here. https://www.performancealloys.com/alloy-wheels-offset
phil369x
So would something like this would work? this is the "look" I'm going for. Polished lip with black center, still confused about offset. Beyern Mesh | America's Tire (americastire.co
Moonmonkey
Couple of websites for comparing wheel and tyre size to standard are: https://www.willtheyfit.com/ https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/?wheel1=195-60-14X6ET30&wheel2=225-35-17X7.5ET30&fcl=50mm&wcl=30mm&scl=50mm&sr=0mm I prefer the second one and have been comparing sizes myself vs the standard B series GT/E wheel
611
Looks like they do them with a 27 offset https://www.fitmentindustries.com/buy-wheel-offset/1570BYM274100B57/beyern-mesh-15x7-27 If you can get the full spec they should give you the distance from the back of the wheel (the face that goes against you hub/disc face) to the outer lip. Then you can measure and see where the wheel outer will come in relation to the inner of your front or rear wing. For the offset, you basically thake the centre of the wheel if you look at it end on (see pic below) If there is zero offset when you bolt the wheel to your hub you will have 50% inside and 50% outside. A plus offset moves the wheel face out meaning the wheel when bolted on will have a bigger portion of the wheel inside the arch and the for a negative offset more of the wheel outside. You ideally need to measurements to check the setup if you have no way to test fit one. Andy Edited January 9, 2022 by

You can always spacer out a little if they sit in too far in but if they stick out to far you are stuck!! Are you going discs on the rear? as i had to use longer wheel studs on mine as the standard are quite short if you have added rear discs. They are quite easy to swap and i think this is the spec for them. Im sure someone else can confirm or i can check the original invoice. Handy as easier to get than if they were just manta specific 🙂
