Sutty2006
Well I hit it with gloss and it’s gone more satin/matt. Which tells me the quality of paint we use at work is shocking 🤣 Project images are available to Club Members Only, Click to become an OMOC Member. gasket has arrived. But unfortunately I left the pan on the side of my tool box at work! 🤦♂️ 1

Metalbasher
Interesting, I plan to have mine refurbished. Daft question maybe but for information and for authenticity is the back black or silver?

Daft question maybe but for information and for authenticity is the back black or silver? As I am a wheel manufacturer/supplier(wow that sounds weird), I have spent loads of time exactly on this topic. It’s always metallic over solid. And, get this - OEM don’t even base in the single colour over the whole rim, just ‘most’ . They only overlap the colours . OFC I only do my wheels 3 times; guess that is one reason why they might seem expensive. But CNC forged to (and properly made to a standard UN/ECE 124 if anyone cares) and coating to match is not a compromise I was willing to give. Look like they’ve been painted black and have silver over spray but I will confirm later.

Sutty2006
Just the one I’m afraid. But here it is, with a new tyre. Shame they didn’t balance it for me, but it will only be a spare. Jessopia74
Forget how big the sidewalls of tyres used to be. No chance of kerbing those! A new rim just always looks so nice though 😎😎
®evo03
I have a set of a one owner from new car. Must treat them in molasses, and refurb back to original, complete mat black. Photo saved as reference. 👍

I now need to see what the strap setup is like in the boot, if anyone’s got a coupe they can take a picture off the well without the wheel in that would be great 👍

Sutty2006
Lowered axle slightly and removed the panhard rod. Everything needs cleaning and protecting as it’s been sat for over 30years. Project images are available to Club Members Only, Click to become an OMOC Member. I’ve got an almost full bush kit in here. But decided against using poly bushes (saving them for the hatchback) and bought new bushes off eBay for £17. Project images are available to Club Members Only, Click to become an OMOC Member. cleaned up at work, given it to the painters who are giving it a lavish coating of gloss black ☺️
Metalbasher
I used the same poly bushes on mine Steve, all good except for the panhard rod to axle, it was too long so I resorted back to original, guess I could machine it when I get time. One to look out for.

Kinda wish I’d chucked him the whole car to paint 🤣. will get pictures tomorrow. this May have led to a potential paint job. We have a painter at work who may paint it on a Saturday. We have ovens for drying etc. I may look into this option if it’s cheap enough!
Jessopia74
There is an adjustable panhard from a Holden that fits. Think I got it from Whiteline. Will see if I can get to the pack or find the purchase email. Edited November 7 by Jessopia74
