Leon
Ouch! Any interior bits of trim, the parts Robbie mentions above, mirrors, rear axle if it's at all undamaged, master cylinder & servo - anything you can really.
Rick-Manta
It looks like the engine's been tarted up at some point in it's life so you may want to check if it's had the weber DTML carb fitted and perhaps a different camshaft. Even if they're standard it maybe worth just taking the whole head with cam carrier with the dizzy carbs and two manifolds as one unit, not as valuable as the box and sump (with pick-up) but every little helps as they say. I can't believe no one is willing to take this car on as a restoration
keith1200
Non sun-roof he he. If you've got the room to store parts? strip everything! The seats look knacked BUT people are always after the front seat frames/mounts. Strip the doors (locks/handels etc) Get the engine out of it and any saveable panels/trim! Then toss it on its side and remove the gearbox/axle. The front chassis looks totally knacked BUT is there's any good bits? strip it. You should be able to sell the engine/box/axle 'easy' the other parts? well! they might not sell this week BUT I'd put money on it 'they will sell' at some point in the future. spiney_norman
Mind if I ask what in God's name happened to that?! Oh, and any decent rubber seals from the windscreen, doors, rear quarter windows etc, always worth holding on to.
vealmonkey
well what happend to the car , my frend had the manta and some one stole 2 wheels and a brake calaper (it had no mot at this time) so he said lets rally it round some fields and forasty roads , so we got out to my place and the front bumper spoiler lasted 7 minites and after half a hour no lights or front panel , then we took it up to the forasty roads hitting 70 to 80 mph it was only 2 of us die hard nutters that would go in her, diched her a few times to and put it up on her side , then we ran out of petrol , the next time out in her we would hamer down a grassy track at 70 mph and pull hand brake turns on the pasenger side in to whin bushes with the window open , the pasenger was non to happy , then no one would come in the car with me so i took it half round a MX track and the engine mounts were no more , and then driving throw whine bushes geting stuck and the clutch gave way , so i pushed it home with the jcb (RIP MANTA), it took some dooging before it died ,had a escort that only lasted 11 minites , did put her end to end and that was the end for her

Rick-Manta
well what happend to the car....................and that was the end for her You do realise this is the Opel Manta Owners Club don't you? Where we care about marques like this one and you bwroke it!! Ah well! If you fancy selling me the hose kit, I'm specifically after the ones that have two small hoses which join to the bottom left of the carb (autochoke water temp) but the whole lot would do well if they're not damaged.
