steveb Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 Hi To All I'm a new member from the Wirral, Merseyside and have recently purchased a good 1988/E Manta GT/E Exclusive Coupe. The last owner had it for 18years! Overall It's a good example and been well kept. The engine was overhauled 10 years / 10,000 miles ago including the sought after Blydenstein Cylinder head modifications as well as a full bottom end overhaul at that time. I've just bought a good used bonnet and drivers door as the original panels are very corroded. It's going into the bodyshop next week for a plate to the n/s/r 1/4 and paint, the bonnet and drivers door. Usual corrosion coming through on the roof next to the sunroof and I will address that at a later time. I'll post some pictures in 3/4 weeks. I had these cars 20-23 years ago. My first car was a Manta B Series 1.9 Berlinetta coupe TVM 217S. Brings back memories .. I was made up to find this car as it was the one to have all those years ago and the run-off model with irmscher styling. I'll be using this car occasionally to drive to work (Weather pending).
