611
And only 10.90 EUR + whatever they charge postage. Might be worth someone ordering a few so its just the one lot of postage if anyone else is interested? I would be up for getting one as although i have the clutch on, im sure at some point it will need to come off again :-)
MANTAMAN
Now thats given my another idea, when you change the water pump on a CIH engine you have to take the pully off the front of the engine to get at the bottom bolt, the bolt holding the pully on is invaribally tight as a witches tit ( an odd expression i have only heard once, used when describing how thight pully wheel bolt gets on a Manta, never heard it anywhere else ! ) and there seems to be no way of stopping the turning when trying to undo said bolt, if something could be created that bolted on inplace of the starter that held the flywheel still without needing to seperate the gearbox from the engine that would be very usefull. Ive used small offcuts of 2x2" angle iron for this before, just wedge it in there. Anything that'll fit in the teeth and not bend really. mantadoc
when you change the water pump on a CIH engine you have to take the pully off the front of the engine to get at the bottom bolt No you don't. Common misconception. Changed about 5 pumps over the years with the pulley on and never had to take a pulley off to change one. You can undo the bolt out of the threads in the cam cover but not enough slack to remove it from the pump. Refitting, is as they say, a reversal of removal. With gasket on pump and bottom bolt 1 or two turns into gasket to grip it you put it back in place.
