Retro Power
here's another little project that we did a while back.......... The starting point, a stock 1300 chevette..... Looks very decent and is on the road with plenty of MOT, but as usual, the vauxhall tinworm was hiding, especially under the cover sills thoughtfully welded over rot!! With the rot sorted (lots more than in those pics!!!) it was time to start the proper part of the job. Fitting an LET, Omega gearbox and 4HA axle into the stock shell with no external mods............ Bit of 4 link action Space for a 3" exhaust system without losing ground clearance ...and a little more gearbox space..... Bit of a media blast of the engine bay, speeds up cleanup! prep n paint... Kevin Abbott
Perfect as usual. What turbo manifold are you using? S14 to LET flange?
Retro Power
Hi Kev, thanks!! No we had some issues in the past with the s14 ones cracking, I think there are a couple of variations on the Chinese made theme and some are thicker than others.... This one is a fwd let one from autosprint, with the flange cut off and tigged back on the other way up, and reinforced a bit where the wastegate usually falls off......I suspect the autosprint one may also hail from the east tho, has that look!!! 2mm+ wall tube tho
