SteelCityManta
That would be criminal if he raced this. I'm sure he could pick up a Capri or something

DadnLadRSprint
I've got this now and it is certainly being saved. Although it definitely wasn't rust free and didn't have many spares. The current plan is to fit a 3.0 v6 but there's a few more things to do before I worry about that
Realbosstime
I bought this from DadnLadRSprint and have plans for it. Am looking for a front passenger seat if anyone knows of parts knocking around. I will need more bits over time for sure. Weighing up what engine to put in, but currently thinking about a V8 or V6, ideally a GM lump.

H-400
The Chevrolet Opala, the South American version of the Rekord... Never understood that car: The Americans devoloped the CIH engine in the sixtees. Nobody wanted to use that engine cause with the camshaft in the head this was too new for them. So GM threw this engine in the Europeen Opels, the old "Kapitän" engine with cam below needed an update and we were happy with this engine. The same GM manufactored the Opel Rekord in South America but they fitted the "Kapitän" look alike old lump in this car but when they imported the Manta A and GT in the US the CIH engine was described as "German quality" by the salesman 🤪. Happily the later models of the Opala had an OHC engine...

Realbosstime
Like the Opala Wheeler Dealers episode, haven't seen that before although did see a lot of the trading up stuff. I love those back lights! Was never mad on the Opala front end, although the european versions weren't brilliant either. I reckon they should have gone more dodge charger like on the front end too, as the back end and coupe lines are gorgeous. Thanks for the background too, yes I was aware of some of that but some new things too. Will hopefully post any updates on build in due course.
