Nigel Wilkins
Anyone know where I could get one, the ones that keep coming up have the offset 4 holes? Whereas mine is rectangular with 6...Any help appreciated...

Fermanta
Sounds like yours has a GTE manifold, it has six studs to the exhaust afaik. Like this? Edited October 18, 2014 by Fermanta
Nigel Wilkins
Yes yes yes that's the one pictured! I think I have found a suitable gasket now. No wonder I wasn't getting anywhere, thanks for the help! Is that a good upgrade its got then?
spiney_norman
The offset 4 stud manifold joint was only on the later 1800 Mantas as far as I know, as well as the mk2 Cav amongst others. Yours won't have a GTE manifold but the joint between the manifold and downpipe is the same for yours and the GTE as they're the same engine. Only difference between a carbed 1600 manifold and a GTE is that the carbed version is bolted to the inlet manifold to warm the air coming into the engine. Rapierdave
Sorry to disappoint you Nigel but as others have said it's just a standard manifold you have on the Cav, shouldn't be a problem to obtain a gasket.
cam.in.head
Yeah .the smaller one is 2.2 carlton. There is also an even smaller one but thats cav 1.3 /chevette/viva
Nigel Wilkins
Still having trouble getting the right one, I have now ended up with 2 that are too small, like the small one in Mickfrads post up a bit but need the bigger one he has pictured! Is that the part number for the bigger gasket Mickfrad or are they both in the pack? Dog312fish that's one of the gaskets I now have but its too small... Nigel Wilkins
Ok my oversight I can now clearly see the bigger one is in as separate pack and has the part numbers Thanks Mickfrad should be able to get one armed with that info!
