Ebay: 78 Cavalier 2000 GLS Coupe. Only 17K miles

Recommended Posts

Not a Manta but had to post this being a close relative. Being sold by KGF Classic Cars for £12995. Probably a record for a Cavalier.

It does look rather nice in Sapphire Blue:

Lots of high res photos to drool over via the KGF website.

there was a person trying to sell it on Facebook the other week for around 10 K so they must have bought it off him

Ahha, that one! I tried to find it without avail. Typical Facebook!

There was a lot of different figures being mentioned as to what it was worth. If I recall correctly, a figure of £10K was put on it eventually.

Allegedly sold to KGF for around £5k 🤑

I'd like to think not, but if true, he must be feeling sick!

Why would he feel sick, he was happy to sell it.

You are assuming KGF will get nearly £13K for it, even if it was a Manta I think he would struggle to get the asking price.

If KGF get top dollar then well done

Sold for 5 K to a dealer,

I was prepared to buy this off the original owner for 6.5K subject to viewing before offer!

I guess you are feeling a bit down at missing out on it. I'd also imagine (despite Rapierdave's comments above) that the seller isn't amused either.

Will be interesting to see if it does sell for more than say £10K.

To be honest I'm not that concerned now as long as it finds a good home and it does not reappear as an Exclusive coupe in a few years on an E plate. a bit too expensive to do that now though?

Agreed re it finding a good home. Wouldn't be surprised if it's hidden away to resurface again in 5-10 years time.

Gutted. It's the same  colour as  my first cavalier. .

If I had seen this for  sale on Facebook, I would of bought this as an investment  for my lad.

He is 11 now.

I could of put it away until  he was old enough to  drive.

There again  I probably  wouldn't  of let him in 6 years time.

All good intentions  hey.....

I just  hope  who ever  buys it looks after  it.

It's back up for sale again at a more modest £10K now:
