Monaco Blue
This has been up for sale a few times over the last year or so. Could be a very good project for somebody, being one of the last built. Low owners and mileage. It's a pity the photos haven't been updated: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Manta-1988-GT-1-8-EXCLUSIVE-56-030-miles-Open-to-reasonable-Offers-/292344233649?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368

Monaco Blue
I wouldn't disagree. 26 minutes ago, MrCarlos said: It wont sell until all the faults are fixed unless its at a much lower price .... I suspect that's probably why it hasn't sold before now.
philip1971
He is a priest or church victor , he has being going to leave Britain for the last 3 years when he has tried to sell it before and needs the money for his expenses, he had it on Facebook , gumtree other sites , I asked him loads of questions, replied I was a troll , more lies. I'd keep away from him and it .he tell more spin that the Tory party.ps he did not like me asking more questions and conterdictions I had to his answers did not stack up to wot the car was , he was determined it was a gte exclusive with 1.8 engine. So told him time and time again and also told him it was a g t on the log book he had posted , and still he basically called me lier gte exclusive, ps and the seats wrong . . Rapierdave
As Carl says its going to be difficult to sell at that price unless its got a years MOT & the faults e.g. welding have been fixed. It must have had a change of plate as its on a Y reg but shows the date of original registration as May 1988.
MrCarlos
We sold a really sound straight and original 1.8 hatch earlier this year - turn key and use running order , perfect mechanicals , no niggles , really smart . Few bits on the paint but very little . Full mot , low miles , low owners good history for £2400. Another trader minted the paint and got £3995 for it. This one will have to do much better prep wise to get anything like £3495

It is a 1.8 GT Exclusive, which is how it's listed on ebay. The seats are correct for that car. I have to agree it does seem dear for the condition of the car though. Some additional info: This 1988 Opel Manta GT on numberplate FHJ1Y was first registered on Monday 9th of May 1988 near Chelmsford. It had been previously registered under E266GVW. At an estimated 67,418 miles, this car has done a lower than average number of miles for its age. This car had 3 previous owners before the current keeper acquired it. MrCarlos
Who kept pinching the wheel nuts lol ??? 1
evo3000
lol overzealous tester for failing the poor car on the main beam being to high,my mot chap would of just adjusted the lights.....then again maybe someone pinched the adjusters on this one aswell Overall quite a nice motor with potential, the wheels don't suit it so i would put the standard steels back on that seller is including in the sale. The jewel in the crown with this one is the low mileage, imho its worth 2.5k to 3k as it is, with the seller being open to offers that is,then that would leave scope to get it up to 5k + standard maybe.
