waite01
I’ve had my A series sat on my driveway for the best part of 8 years now and was having a look around it with all this free time isolation has given me! The cars yellow with silver showing through all over the place, I’ve always assumed it was originally silver however, that doesn’t match up with what’s on the chassis plate, can anyone shed some light?? I’m getting the colour code of 402 - which I cant find on the A series colour thread, running a check shows 2 colour changes but doesn’t list the original colour anywhere 🤷🏻♂️ Edited March 30, 2020 by waite01

waite01
It’s a 1973 - I think the plate has been screwed back on after a re-spray, all the chassis numbers ect line up
611
Think your right bris jas with the Sahara Gold couple of links that show it as that. Opel Sahara Gold Metallic 402 GM 21 / 1971 https://www.opelgt.com/threads/opel-paint-codes.90633/ https://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au/colour_swatch_opel_1970 The only yellow was the Ochre or the Citrus. malbasys
Colours and years used can be misleading. My late model Manta A in Sahara Gold was sold in November 1975 in South Africa: one of very few Mantas sold in SA in that colour, although it was used on a number of other GM South African models, not all Opels. Be bold and put it back to its original colour of Sahara Gold!

You have any more photos??
1900SR
I'd say 402 is Sahara Gold as well.
