ANDY ABBOTT
Won't fit as is. Inlet manifold too tall on standard frontrea will not go under a manta bonnet. 2.2 or cut down 3.0 manifold required. Pistons are not ideal if looking to up the power either. Granted better power than a 2.0 though.
cam.in.head
still would be a shame to buy a well looked after car just to scrap it and get the engine out of. not exactly cheap either

Only crank that has any value and can get a good crank for €1K. Roughly same amount to gave 4crank journals built up and then machined down to get the required throw too. Sutty2006
He’ll have that a while at that price. I bought an R reg 2.5 VM diesel in the same colour and spec about 10 years ago for 400 quid with a split bulkhead where the clutch lever bolts up. ANDY ABBOTT
We bought a complete 50k mile frontera one owner back end of last year to harvest the 2.4 for kevs exclusive. We thought we could sell off a load of parts to recoupe some of the money. Parts do not sell well and are pretty much worthless. We ended up just letting big cliff strip off what he wanted as he runs a fromtera almost daily, then we just scrapped the rest. No value in them or their parts unfortunately.

Pretty much same as what the scrap yard told me where I got my 2.4 engine from mate - I could take what I wanted as it was getting crushed afterwards
