Manta GTE wheel bearings PNs

Looking at some spares I have in my shed, are these the correct wheel bearings for the front and rear?

Fronts I think are Quinton Hazell  - QWB155C

Rears  I think are Quinton Hazell  - QWB177 / AP Lockheed WBK191...Does anyone have other manufacturer part numbers for the rear bearings please? I am planning to fit a pair of shortened Commodore 5 stud axles to the Manta housing. I will have to use a spacer/sleeve with the Manta bearing as Commodore shafts are smaller in diameter by about 5mm....

Hi Pete, partnr's you gave give Deawoo and when I cross the Manta GSI they don't fit (says the PC). I'v got rear bearings of Quinton Hazel and they have the partnr. QWB236G. Can always measure them if you want.

Bearings of SKF VKBA944 are front ones for Manta & Rekord and also as Sutty wrote rear bearings of Nova & Astra front wheel drive.

SKF VKBA994 are rear commo, 400 and Rekord Sprint & Rekord Van

SKF VKBA526 are also on my shelf and look to be Commo/Senator/400 front.

If you don't find any rear bearings in the UK, google "radlagersatz hinten Manta B", still enough parts in Germany. I'm going the same route as you, using half shafts of a Commo and use a bush to fit original GSI bearings. Not sure I'm shortening them, have a spare rear axle so I can try with a distance plate so I'll have a wider rear axle.

Have you got an FPS near you?

When I did the same job I took the Commodore and in my case Monza bearings in and the guy found me better spec SKF bearings matching the diameters? They were really helpful and had the bearings I needed in stock.

Just come across this shaft on ebay, I assume its a 5 stud, but looks different to my one (which had discs). Are shafts fitted to drum axled Commodores different to disc brake ones ie are disc brake axle shafts longer as has the cast caliper mounting rather than a pressed steel retainer to hold the axle in the housing?

I think they might have fitted drums to the smaller engined Commodores, as I remember working on a mates 2.5 Vauxhall Viceroy which I think were based on a Commodore, and the Viceroy definitely had drum rear brakes and 5 stud wheels.

The Commo's had drums on the less powered ones. Those drums have the same diameter as the Manta's drums. Bought myself a set of 5 stud drums cause in Belgium we are not allowed to retrofit discs when drums are original. Mot rules😪.  Am not sure about the difference between the halfshafts, was also thinking on that big cast piece on the end of the axle...
