cam.in.head
just seen this now on ebay. its marked as a 20GVB looks like a normal 2 litre but with a different flywheel, sump, dipstick and the stamping looks original .what the hell is it ? never heard of one before ! is it maybee from a late CF van ? paulmanta
Id say it was a rebuild of some kind. Later style fan water pump and dizzy, it does have earlier rocker cover though as if its been in a carburettor car, that breather is the "poke it in" type used when you have a big round air cleaner. Engine numbers look restamped.
Moonmonkey
The flywheel looks to have been machined to take a ford AP competition pressure plate 6 bolt 3 dowel. No oil pressure gauge though, only a switch It’s not from a cavalier
cam.in.head
no definately not cavalier. or carlton. unusual sump with strange dipstick tube, .flat flywheel and more substantial fan blades too .very strange. never seen or heard of a GVB designation before ? Was any Bedford’s (other than the trucks) used by the Army etc? It does seem odd engine code as you say
