cam.in.head Posted December 30, 2023 Share Posted December 30, 2023 hardest plates i have found to get nowadays are the normal yellow white type up to 2001 ish where the digits are rounded . no one seems to be able to make those type ??? and i must be one of the unusual type who actually think plates look good . but then i do think all cars look bare without mudflaps too ! cam.in.head Posted January 22 Share Posted January 22 i must be a pleb then ! lol i definately prefer the manual pull up types as they dont often fail whereas the electric ones do ( plus manual was std for the time !) just prefer things that make the car look like it belongs in the era it came from l hence why i like mudflaps, rostyles,vinyl roofs etc.and definately no led bulbs ! i also think wing mirrors look cool ( although pretty useless as an actual mirror per se ) shame our cars never had them. ®evo03 Posted January 22 Share Posted January 22 All unnessassary add on, Ariel, fog light, no wing mounted mirrors thanks, towbars unless removable, take away from the cars design, and are just bulky add ons, as if they where missing of the design brief. cam.in.head Posted January 22 Share Posted January 22 this is why we all have our own opinions i suppose. nobody is right and nobody is wrong. and obviously nobody intends to offend anyone else either. i see where you are coming from regards more minimalist in appearance but im the total opposite. i think that cars look bare without any extras . but i mean std extras ( or period correct). take a standard 4 door mk1 cavalier L for example vs a gls saloon. with the extra chrome,wheels,vinyl top ,arches,sill covers. or a basic victor vs a 2300 gls for example. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
