Drive-it-Day this Sunday

Recommended Posts

Steve, it's national, not local or otherwise as basically it's just a fundraiser. Donate online, fit your plate (too late now?) and take your old car out for a drive wherever you like.

(Oh, and wave if you spot another car with the plate on, I guess 😎)

Some of the regular car-gathering-type venues are welcoming Drive-it-Day participants (I'm heading to Classic Car Hub, about an hour and a half away).

Mike - fingers crossed for good weather 🤞😀

I'll be out with Boston Classic Car Club again, meeting for breakfast at a local cafe, then a 50 mile run through Lincolnshire. I just hope the weather is better than last year. Photo copyright D F Leatherdale from last year's run.

After completing our run at Fleet in Lincolnshire we made our way to a local (to home) farm ice cream place that was hosting a classic car day. By the time we got there just before 4.00pm most people had gone, however my friend George was still there with his Centaur. We went to grab an ice cream and when we came back to the car this HC Viva had joined us, which the owner told us was the one used by Jane McDonald in her recent program My Yorkshire.

Great stuff guys, I did a car boot sale Sunday morning but a few cars arrived at Sainsbury’s car park. None of them had plates on but looked like they were gathering for something!

Agreed. I particularly like the mk3 Cortina 😍

And the Vanden Plas, actually 😎

That Mk3 is absolutely mint, I'd quite like to have taken it home.
