They needed a good clean so I broke the jet wash out and soaked them in G101. I’ve got an abundance of spacers and the odd bolt knocking around. these ones are too short even with the smaller spacers. I’ve managed to get the one spring fitted and working so the bottom of the belt swings back. I’ve removed the wiper arms now, while I try and figure that one out. when I turn the wipers on, they go down instead of up. I might have to move the linkage? But I’m not sure. cam.in.head Posted August 26 Share Posted August 26 (edited) i suppose it depends on what the other areas are like that are prone to rot ( top end and corner , arch lip and mounting flanges)and finding a good replacement wing is not easy or cheap nowadays . if if we're mine i would just cut and repair that wing. ive repaired worse by tackling the side section, front face , inner and lower mounting flange as separate repairs ( or 'but'repair the entire lower section from another wing ) unless of course you can source a good wing anyway for a good price in which case ignore the above ! ! I’ve accidentally put the drivers one in wrong so need to remove that and refit. however the passenger belt doesn’t fit right. The chrome hanger isn’t the right way round, and the big plastic extender piece is missing. So looks like I’m on the lookout for another belt.
