®evo03
Restoring a early manta b gtj, single slot, black bumper. It had old style seats, and there was no way they where staying, 1, drivers seat had a few cig burns. 2, The filling was collapsed, and looked like horse hair fibres, or something, 3, didnt like the style, and Recaros make a manta! So old seats are long gone, subframe cut off came in handy for a bucket seat mount, but most importantly the type of material, has a detailed honeycomb design, and is unique to this model, dont think it even exists in another opel. I have sourced used recaros, that are stripped, powerhosed, washed and cleaned, and ready for rebuild, came from a exclusive coupe. Plan is to dye the grey leather black, and dye the gtj honey comb material, back to black, as its faded slightly. Anyone have any experience in material dye, its only black i need, i have an excellent product for the leather, will get the link up, excellent product. Also, any companies out there that have a match for the bolster material from the daytona recaros, its that black tweed look? Might use this opposed to dying the grey section from exclusive style seat.

Hopefully get the bolster material sorted, as would like to get the stitching started at least. Need to get membership started and a project thread started. Hopefully over Christmas break, give me something to read, got a yrs worth of photos to catch up on.

Is this similar? https://tissens.com/en/classic-car-old-cars-fabrics/1373-18333-automotive-fabric-pied-de-poule.html#/906-make_of_vehicle-universal The Daytona bolster material, whether charcoal or beige seems to be almost impossible to source from what I've read previously. In saying that, I think the seats in B550OPR which is currently for sale was retrimmed. Might be worth dropping him a PM or whatever.
