Front and Rear Black Seats Available for Manta Hatch

I picked up some Daytona check Recaros today, so am looking to sell the black set in my hatch. They're in fair condition, with some wear to the drivers' outer edge (not really a bolster on these) and I'll get some photos done so I can email them to anyone interested. They're the type from a 1.8 Berlinetta and would of course still suit an early B or Cavalier sporthatch, especially if you're looking to de-beige it or something.

Looking for £100 ono. Collection from Witney area (OX28/29) or I work just south of Swindon a couple of days a week if it's closer. Thanks.

The ones from Dunstable? Yes, if so. They would have been a bit of a trek for you mind!

They've been welded to some large and heavy frames for a van unfortunately, but I'd have taken pretty much any condition as was getting constantly bid sniped on eBay and was even bidding on Rover 800 and Suzuki Ignis seats (still Recaro LX), so some adaptation was inevitable.

I’ll have the back seats if anyone wants the fronts?

any pictures?

As mentioned, I'll have to email them as this site doesn't give me the option to attach pictures to posts or messages.

Thanks.

I have a pair of Monza Recaros for sale... Black with grey trim.

We fitted to a Manta before so I know the runners match up to the Manta ones.

Yes I fitted some monza recaros to mine not long ago. The whole lot comes off and gets swapped over for ultimate comfort in a manta!

I am very impressed with mine. They are in great condition and I didn’t need to remortgage the house to buy them. Hopefully going to fit the passengers side this afternoon.

Nice! So are the Monza Recaros still the LX or LS (whichever one was used in loads of cars including Manta GTEs) with extra padding, or is it a more luxury-orientated type?

I remember back in the day, Monza drivers stating how they could drive all day in them and not get uncomfortable, especially compared to their yuppie friends in Porsche 944s, 928s and other expensive GT cars of the same era.

Even the Rover 800 Vitesse and Suzuki Ignis Sport used the same Recaros as the Manta (Ford Escort and Capri Recaros had a different base) so I was even bidding on them as an option. I'm glad to get the Daytona check ones, but they have had a rather large frame welded to them--that I assume is for a VW van of some kind.

They have the movable leg bolster that gives lanky buggers like me extra leg support.

I've always found the standard Manta GTE Recaros fit me perfectly, but I'm quite short at 5'9 and I'm surprised the taller-than-average Germans didn't find problems with them.

I found the Sierra recaros to be 115.788% more comfortable than manta recaros. I always feel that there isn’t enough back support on the manta ones. I’ve driven some miles in my manta, and yes they aren’t that bad but could be better for the taller generation. Ford seats always agreed with my body better. But unfortunately Ford seats command a high price….. very high indeed.

The Monza seats do not look out of place and just look the wee bit more....armchair.

Are you sure it's not the manta seat has moulded you over a very long period to suit its shape 🤣🤣

They’re much more supportive and actually grab your hips so your ass doesn’t slide around on corners. Plus comfortable!

Just to update, having looked a bit closer at the rear bench, there's a significant bit of material flapping away where you can see the foam behind it, in a corner of the lower bench seat. So I'll probably just have to sell these as needing refurbishment and take any offer that comes my way--and for the seats too!
