Diego LR Posted July 31, 2023 Share Posted July 31, 2023 Hi All Is the Opel Manta A dashboard supposed to be illuminated? If so, how do I replace the bulbs? My dashboard is pitch black at night and I am trying to understand if there are lights/bulbs somewhere that need replacing. Thank you I have a spare dash if you want me to take a pic? they push in from the back and there are about 6 i think from memory. That was it. I rotated clock wise and the dash lights went on! I will check what i have. When you say left do you mean UK passenger side? 611 Posted August 3, 2023 Share Posted August 3, 2023 Ok, mirrors. As you can see i have a matching pair. The are both in good condition but as you can see from the second pic the right (UK drivers) one the bracket is lose and the mirror wont stay in place. but the left side is fine. Here is a link with the full size images https://www.theopelproject.com/heater-housing/ as you can see i added a partition and fan to the left, this was so i could vent under bonnet heat up through the bonnet vent without any engine fumes getting into the heater vent. Its in good condition with all the locating holes in place and nothing broken. The light housing is intact and i think i even have a switch somewhere! I only removed it from mine as now i run injection instead of twin cards so don't get the same kind of heat in the engine bay now so decided to swap it for another one i had. Yes the heater housing is in the UK and no i dont have the rubber strip, the stuff i had went hard and then the bonnet never seals properly so when i changed the heater housing i got some new stuff from Dr Manta.
