Wow!!

That looks a bit of a rusty one.

Must say though I cannot remember the last time I saw a Berlinetta Coupe, and so refreshing to see someone making the tools they need to get the job done.

Got a feeling there is going to be some good fabrication on this thread, looking forward to see this take shape. :thumbup

are you keeping it as a 1.8 ,looks like your cracking on with it .

look foward to seeing your progress :thumbup

It'll be staying 1.8 ,going to restore it as close to original as i can ,was going to 400r it but after finding out there's not many left decided against it ,

some more work yesterday ,engine and box out ,engine bay stripped.

thanks for all the comments, the garage was purpose built for my last project,

after it was finished started looking for a manta to fill it

don't think it will be finished for the summer this year maybe next, the last one took just over 2 years to complete .

this is it ,1984 mk1 astra GTE full bare shell resto ,took it to billing 2009 won the treasurers trophy for best post 1975 standard car in show ,

been featured in total vauxhall Dec 2009 ,won some other awards at local classic car shows ,was invited to PVS last year by total vauxhall but couldn't make that .

so the mantas got a lot to live up to lol
