mantaray
Deffo reccomend getting it basted, costs about £500 but well worth it if you intend keeping the car.

Retro Power
And if you need advice before you get it blasted, ask on here! Don't just take it to any commercial blasters!
simon p
Don't just take it to any commercial blasters! Indeed, commercial blasters will wreck it, you need someone who are used to car bodies,it's a completely different technique.
Nigel
Thanks for your advice about having the shell blasted, what i didn't tell you is that these pictures where taken a couple of weeks ago. i have my own sanblaster which i have silica sand, so all the underside has allready been blasted and the welding will be nearly finished this week end my friend is helping me and we have had some very long nights and busy weekends i will post some more pics on over the weekend of the current progress and condition. Retro Power
Cool, all sounds good! Know you will anyway but wear a very good mask if using sand, the fine dust is very dodgy health wise (silicosis) we use crushed glass as its much safer. Not saying don't use sand just be careful!
