Hi all.

Despite looking on fleabay for about 6 months now, Ive still had no joy sourcing replacement uphgolstery for my worn drivers seat in my '78 Mk 1 Cavalier Coupe. The interior is red velour, and the seat has a wear hole on the seat bolster and a ripped seam on the base (where your bum goes!).

Ive even requested a few samples of material so see if I can patch it, but since the seat cloth is a little sun bleached, everything ive tried sticks out a mile.

So what have you lot done to yours?

Love to hear a brilliant, cost effective idea to sort it!

get a passenger seat and mix and match parts, for example the right hand base cushion on a passenger seat will make a drivers base feel like new and the foam and cover off a passenger side back should go on drivers side only dows side need to make a handle hole and blank original hole

Hi Rob,

I have an entire red velour interior out of a kadett C in my loft. I don't have a C anymore but I kept it because it was in real good order and too good to throw away.

I know the front seats don't have headrests and also remember they have the little flip lever as it was from the city version of the car.

I don't know if it would be the same or not, but if you know it is or can find out and have any interest give me a shout back.

I'm in Belfast but I'm sure I might be across the water at some stage or alternatvely someone on here might help out with that.

Roger
