biffy1984
Lovely car Mark, it will be good to see the feature in Revs. I have a white coupe and really like the wheels on your old car, are they TSW Hockenheims? And do you know if they were 16 or 17 inch? Might of tried to get myself a set if I found out what they are Cheers, Peter.
markben
hi peter .wheels were 8x17 team dynamics dtm style with 205/40/17 rubber .did have to roll iner winglips as had jamex sportsline dampers and lowering springs Lovely car Mark, it will be good to see the feature in Revs. I have a white coupe and really like the wheels on your old car, are they TSW Hockenheims? biffy1984
Thanks Mark thats spot on. I've already rolled the back arches so i'll probably have to do the front wings (depending on the offset). Will have a hunt around and see if theres any kicking about. And if I don't like them I can easy sell them again Cheers, Peter. Edited December 5, 2010 by biffy1984

Retro Power
I remember reading that article, I had just finished putting the throttle bodies on the XE in my exclusive when that issue came out!!! As you say, them were the days!!! I remember a 200hp manta felt quick back then when I was 19!!! Thinking about it, I don't think you'd stand a chance insuring a 16v manta at 18 yrs old these days!! (was 18 when I did the XE conversion! ) Car was E699WVM I think, but its deffo dead now, I scrapped it, the engine went in a rwd pug 205 I built in 1998! Chris M
I am pretty sure the yellow hatch in picture 6 is the one that was turbocharged (it was the only hatch ever turbo'd). That car started out white and was turbo'd in 1985 at the request of the Vauxhall / Opel dealer in Redcar, Teesside (Cowies) and was paraded around Ingliston race circuit that summer as part of a GM sponsored race day along with a few other rarities (Thundersaloon Senator, Irmscher Nova Sport etc etc) My old man worked for that dealer then and the car was rather special. Not sure when it changed colour though
