®evo03 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) WIA 5958 this time. It was hired for the event, (drive it like you rented it! comes to mind!) just a wee legendary video, this man is a legend, this rally is still talked about, amazing, the crowd was buzzing, waiting for the unforgettable sound of the 400 coming first through the stages. Northern Ireland forestry championship Being driven properly by an Irish man no doubt, he did win, and he did beat Escort cosworths, and a Legacy, and a endless list of escorts. Better than jimmy himself? this was late 90's. Bet the rich owner whoever owns it now didn't know about this one, where is it garaged queened now? Take it to the limit~! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eP_QGhDkxk and another incar this time, (Ex McHale manta) Northern Ireland forestry championship. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z7vGBuAOfc Now that is dancing! watch out for 2.13 minutes in, that deserves a bravery award. BTW no pacenotes, just danger points highlighted, hairpins, gates etc. Rallying just aint the same, and never will be. Edited July 7, 2014 by brady 4 Quote
Jack Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Thanks for posting this the videos are awesome. It just shows you how much of a monster the Manta 400 is and especially so when competing in the 80's. I just love the angry roar of the 400 as it blasts it's way through the forests eating it's wasy through the rally stages with a seriously talented driver at the wheel fighting with it to get the best out of it. I wish I had a time machine to go back to the 80's so I could in person experience this amazing time in Rallying history that will be remembered forever. Jack. Quote
