davo
Blitz seats are rare so I can see where coming from but ...... Now I know Daytona seats are hard to come by in good condition, but surely this is over priced ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OPEL-MANTA-ASCONA-GTE-COUPE-FULL-SET-OF-VERY-GOOD-RECARO-FRONT-AND-REAR-SEATS-/351388450137?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item51d0623d59
Jack
Hopefully one day I will fulfill another Manta dream and own a genuine set of Blitz one day. I have never sat in a Blitz seat before.
Paul Barrett
Same as a standard seat i imagine, is it just the cloth that is different?
evo3000
Hopefully one day I will fulfill another Manta dream and own a genuine set of Blitz one day. I have never sat in a Blitz seat before. jack you could get your own seats recovered in blitz cloth one day. There was a group buy a few years ago with retro power and the material/design looked like the original. If there was enough interest there could be another group buy in the future. And the brucey bonus is it would be nice and new. And if your going to billing your may get to see some club cars which have had this done. Edited May 4, 2015 by evo3000

Trouble with the copyright from Opel was mentioned as well Jason.

Looks like you will have to carry on dreaming then jack. :mellow:and thanks for that info craig, was thinking of having it done myself at some point. Maybe the blitz interior only belongs in one place and that's the genuine article. On the otherhand that brings us back to these seats for sale., makes them even more sought after, shame its not the rears aswell. Autocrosser
Apparently printed cloth is available as oppose to the original that was woven. Don't have this copyright bs with Ford heritage I have to say. Very narrow minded by Opel and GM. Makes these tired seats rare and valuable and the rear seats even rarer as they've been butchered to cover std Recaro fronts. Gets back to the Mk1 Escort Mexico wings from a couple of years ago trading for £500 each until someone saw sense and reproduced them....but Opel/GM will have none of that

i2000
i was given my coupe 7 years ago as a project that had been off the road for years in dry storage and it had the blitz interior from new,it cleaned up like new and was the best part of the car,i didnt know the rarity of it then and they are still fitted now, just worried about damaging them.later in the restoration i found it was fitted with a zf lsd that the last owner didnt know about. ®evo03
Tried 400 seats, thought they where firmer, a bit uncomfortable, and i could be wrong but is there a bar runs across middle of back of seat, middle of ur back. As for the material, i wisely bought enough for one car, front and back seats, many years ago, still in its box, not for sale, thinking of making a nice jacket, trouser combo, fetching!!

I was one of the lucky ones to get the material from Retropower. I had my old GTE seats redone in there blitz cloth and they feel like the seats you sit in when you purchase the car new. back on auction should anyone be interested. However in the meantime I have purchased some printed blitz material in order make a seat cover from it to protect my Daytona check drivers seat. Have you got a link to this material as I could do with some covers for my repo blitz
