manta88
That looks nice Steve, do you know the car or is it another one that has appeared.
1900SR
I've not seen the car before, but I believe the original owner was a club member for a long time, and was well known by some of the longer term members of the club.
Monaco Blue
That looks very tidy. Nice colour. Looks like Signal Red. HPN363L. Impressive MOT history back to 2005 with minimal advisories and no mention of corrosion.

1900SR
It is a great looking car, if I had the money I'd certainly be going to view it, but alas no money, and no space.

Rapierdave
I went to see this Manta today & will give i hope an honest appraisal of the car. It was Dennis Battricks old car & is now owned by his son Mike, if anyone has seen the Billing 1994 video produced by the OMOC you will see Dennis being interviewed with his car. Dennis is still alive but is no longer able to drive. The car is a 1973 Opel Manta SR manual transmission owned from new by Dennis, it has covered approximately 70,000 miles. Interior is in very good condition with no fade to the carpets, headlining is in good condition, gear lever gator has perished a bit. Oil pressure gauge doesn't work & the sender wires look ok so could be a faulty sender. Engine bay is very clean & the engine sounds quiet having recently had a service, aftermarket lumention electronic ignition is fitted (same as my A). There is a problem with a possible parasitic drain on the battery causing it to go flat but this should be a straightforward fix. Tyres look in good condition but appear to be old so if you intend to use the car on longer journeys then for peace of mind i would recommend a new set. The Rostyle wheels are in fair condition but have had the black bits hand painted so would benefit from a re-paint. Underneath the car is superb better than my A (Ron's old car), no welding has ever been carried out as far as i could see & none is needed, this is due to the underside being lberally covered in old engine oil / waxoyl . The chassis legs/Swan Necks look perfect. The exterior of the car looks great but when you get close up there are various places that have been touched in probably due to scratches & there are some minor dents in the nearside rear wing. Rear arches are very good with some very minor areas needing paint. Roof & Bonnet are very good. A host of spares come with the car including a 4 speed gearbox I have taken some pictures of the car & tried to show the areas where touch in paint has been applied but you really need to see this car in person to fully appreciate what is on offer. The seller Mike Battrick is a lovely guy & has a genuine reason for selling the car. Price is firm at £11000 With some elbow grease & some paintwork this could be the Best Manta A in the country.
