i240 Dan
Out of interest Mick, how do the front and rear arches attatch to the car on an irmscher kit? Dan Member: 5612 http://www.mantaclub.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6321
mickappy
there supposed to have self tapping screws that screw from the inside in to the arch. but most of the brackets were missing, i used 10mm nut n bolts every 8", also with the irmscher kit you dont have to cut any of the arches away. sunroof seal wanted please help!!!! omoc member 5918 16v i240 hatch (coming soon)
i240 Dan
If you don't cut the arch away then will you not have problems when you fit much wider wheels. I know that if I hadn't removed the egde of the steel arch over the rear wheels it would have just cut straight into my tyre when the suspension comressed. i240 Dan
As long as you're sure, I had horrible images of you rolling in on two rear wheels with no tyres at billing. My rears are 9J but I presume that yours are a higher offset to bring them out a bit further, I had to file away a bit of the lip under the 240 rear arches as I hadn't shortened my panhard rod and the first time I had three mates in the back I found out that a thin fibreglass edge makes short work of a tyre wall. Good luck with it, Billing possibly? Looks like a lot of work if it is, just dont rush it, billing is 1 weekend a year while the car is there every day! http://www.chavspotters.com Andy Turner a.k.a Fat Southern B'stard

Been meaning to tell you for bloody months and months, I've kept my sunroof seal out of the Calibra for you in case you find it can be cut shorter and made useable, I will "try" and remember to bring it to Billing http://www.customsolutions.me.uk

d818anr
after Clives V8 (which I've been waiting to see since he started it!) this is the Manta I really am looking forward to seeing at Billing. I don't know what it is but it has an almost 'factory special' look to it. The wheels suit it really well without being ott, and the monaco blue (if thats the shade you used) on the 240 kit looks really subtle. It doesnt have that standard car with after market tat slapped on look that so many of the kitted cars these days have. Well done mate, a real peach that one! http://www.chavspotters.com Andy Turner a.k.a Fat Southern B'stard
mickappy
just wish i had a few more weeks, wheels need a good shotblast n powder coating, and a few panals could do with another paint but im sure that will be all done for next year, roll on saturday[] sunroof seal wanted please help!!!! omoc member 5918 16v i240 hatch (coming soon)
opel2000
I think it is the fact that so many people paint the kitted Manta's in solid colours that when seeing one in Very Smart Monaco blue it just looks so spot on, much better than the usual white. http://www.customsolutions.me.uk
