Guest
What Robbie hasn't mentioned is that the new oven and hob have replaced the back seat in the 'A' rather than going into his kitchen as he's doing the Sodas at Billing this year.[:0][][)] Not really. Robbie
Hi Mal we aim to please lol, the heater can be a bit of a sticky one but after some thought and design idea,s I got stuck into actually making the heater yesterday afternoon and worked at it hmmmmm to long last night. Had a day of today so thought I better keep at it and get it more or less finished [] Not the best looking thing in the world but we all have to work with the limited tools we have [] I made the back of the heater bigger to cover more of the bulkhead which was'nt that nice to look at [] In the above picture you can see the tray that was made up and welded into the car to allow the dissy to sit into, this took up some of the heater opening and the heater box itself was modified to allow for this, which meant that the selector still worked properly, The air flow can still be directed around the car. The edge of the heater box sits right at the side of the tray. Both sides of the heater box were drilled to let air flow into the box, The heater matrix itself has now been mounted so that the inlet and outlet pipes are now on the opposite side of the car, This leaves more room around the dissy and also will leave the plumbing handier as its now on the right side of the car for the 16V. Engine bay view with the box in and finished, The heater box will function as its meant too, though its hard to do a really good job of something like this unless you have the proper machinery ........... but this system now works and should help a few others that decide to do a 16V in the A and keep the heater for those cold mornings []. http://www.mantamagic.com OMOC N,Ireland Rep The New OMOC Northern and Southern Ireland Forum http://www.vxopel.com/phpBB/ id="blue"> OMOC 5706

Robbie
Heater box is just some brushed stainless I had here, the Dissy is the standard one. Robbie
Cheers [][] Car is coming along bit by bit, never does seem to come along quick enough though. Not going to mad on this one, mainly trying to have it totally rust free and presentable. Worked on the gearbox mounting bracket over the weekend, it needed modified to suit the 1800 gearbox, just need to get it painted now [] Need to get the drive shaft sent away soon as well, have to take a final measurement on it but it will need shortened by approx 60mm. http://www.mantamagic.com OMOC N,Ireland Rep The New OMOC Northern and Southern Ireland Forum http://www.vxopel.com/phpBB/ id="blue"> OMOC 5706
Guest
Hi Robbie can you send a pic of teh clear rear lights you have on the V8 and where did you find them????
Robbie
The rear lights on the V8 are well modified [] there is 64 LED,s in each light, I modified the housings to suit, also I had to add an electronic circuit into the car to get the Indicators to work properly. The clear lens can be bought from OPELGT source, they are around $30 each. pics emailed http://www.mantamagic.com OMOC N,Ireland Rep id="blue"> OMOC 5706
