Ok like most of us on here I didn't really need another car but what the hell !!!!!!!

So after a 12 hour round trip I've now got this back at my place.

Short term plans are to get the car mot'ed and just smoke it about for this summer. As long as I don't find no nasties, and I've no reason to think I will, hopefully it will be on the road for billing. Unfortunately I'm only going to be there on the Sunday(so I'll say sorry now cause if I go in a soft top it's bound to rain !!!!!)

I've sorted some electrical gremlins out tonight.

My mrs has done me proud n give it a good clean inside and out today whilst I was at work.

So hopefully an hour or two with the welder and we will be on the road.

Will put some more pictures up hopefully tomorrow.

Whilst the paint is not perfect the car has cleaned up well, and is more than presentable.

Would like to find some early style bumpers for it.let me know if anyone's got some !

Thanks for the kind words

Long term plans, although no set in stone, are to get it back to looking right for its age so thinking of an early Gte style look.

Going to get the wheels refurbed.

I don't think it's going to be easy to get it looking totally original due to the lack of availability of early trim parts.

Also on initial inspection the car is in pretty good condition so I've got no plans to give it a full strip down at the moment.

I'm a great believer in keeping a road worthy car on the road and using it. Too many cars get taken off the road n end up staying unfinished In garages due to unforeseen circumstances.

Small update on the centaur

End of last summer had problem with engine. Turned out to be a cam lobe worn away!

So dropped another lump in over the winter.

Now fitted black door handles, later black edge rear lights, front chin spoiler,Daytona front seats(waiting to collect rears),lowered springs all round,sr steering wheel & finally treated it to some new boots wrapped around a set of 5 spoke revos.

Just waiting for some new wheel nuts to arrive & I'm ready for drive it day on Sunday.

Hopefully get some better pics over the weekend weather permitting !!

Whatever you do, hang onto the original wheels. Proper rocking horse poop.

Looking good!

Yeah know how rare those wheels are, I'm going to get them refurbed as one has been painted silver badly. Its the white wall on the tyres I didn't like ! Edited by davo
