Ems
The (Manta internal bias pedal box is no longer available from TJM or Rally Design, I'd prefer one without cylinders under the bonnet. Does anyone know of an alternative supplier? Thanks
Autocrosser
Compbrake do a nice range of pedal boxes top or floor mounted at a reasonable price. Dunno if it's any good to you Ems but it's an option
Ems
Might be an option, depends on how many modifications are needed to fit it to the car. Don't want to start cutting or welding the bulkhead as I'm close to finishing the car.

Thanks That's a pity as i always fancied one of the TJM ones but never got round to getting one has he just stopped doing them or does he need a minimum order? gary6303
Could get your own pedal box converted, i have tried a rhd e30 box from obp and its a floor mounted box fits perfect, all cylinders are rear mounted and has a cut out in the frame for the os wheel arch thats part of the bulkhead on manta and is also kicked up at the back of box so it can fit right up against the bulkhead, sorry no picks as its now fitted to my e30, you will need to get a universal throttle cable though and make a bracket to fit the manta brake light switch so it will work as fitted to manta box. The person who makes the Manta pedal box won't make them anymore, and he won't sell the jigs so someone else can make them!

Very poor attitude that, you would a least think he would sell on the jigs if he wasn't going to do them himself anymore.

rutthenut
If you search on the forum there are some other comments and pics (look for bias brakes), with RetroPower showing internal fitting of a Mk1 Escort twin-cylinder box. That has cable clutch but can also be had with hydraulic clutch if needed. I think they stated some minor work needed on inside of bulkhead but 'straightforward' to fit. Don't know if original clutch and throttle cables will fit, btw.
Ems
Retro Power sent me this information in an e-mail, might be of help to someone: A MK1 Escort box will do the trick, albeit with some work. Best bet is to cut out the whole servo area of bulkhead and replace with a flat panel. Use reasonable thick steel. Pedal box will then mount to the panel and you’ll just need a brace from the original upper mount to the top of the box to stop it flexing under pressure. It will clear the EPS setup. Having rebuilt the car with only the interior, brake lines and pedal box left to fit I don't want to start cutting and welding the bulkhead so I'll have to keep searching for an alternative!
Manta again
I had this pedal box converted from cable operation, it is designed for the A not sure how much the bulkhead differs between A's and the others but it is a direct fit onto where the master cylinder and vacuum unit fit. Could be persuaded to part with it?
