Guest
Right, don't come on here much now, but have just seen this post and can probably help out significantly as this is a most worthy cause. I'll give you a call Clive, You are all welcome to use my workshop (4 car garage), welding facilities, tools etc etc. I'm located near to Clive and if it's only for two days and for a cause as worthy as this then the workshop can be emptied of its other cars so there's plenty of space available. There's sleeping space available as long as sofas and floors are ok, plus a large garden for tents etc and a barbeque. If this is of any use then it can be sorted via Clive. opel2000
Bank holiday week in August is no good for me I'm afraid, as I have 1 weeks holiday then, and may just actually treat myself to a week off and go away somewhere that week. But if this week is good for everyone else then that counts me out and moon monkeys car can still be donme by everyone else. thought the topic was pretty much closed until we met up at Billing http://www.customsolutions.me.uk

MANTAMAN
Yes Billing would be an ideal oppertunity to round up the troops and work out the best time to put the battle plan into action. Mr Moon Monkey,(sorry cant remember your real name!) is your Manta going to be at Billing? it would be a great help if all those who were going to get involved could see beforehand what needed doing, tools and parts could be collected so as we didn't get stuck halfway wanting something that would take a fortnight to get. South Midz Manta Bitz Selling all sorts of parts for your Manta,we dont know exactly what we have got,but there's so much we probably have what you want!surplus parts bought, whole cars considerd. Moon Monkey
yes, it will be if i ever manage to get some time to change the rocker cover and now clean filter on the car, anyone know how you're supposed to clean the k&n type air filters as my carb (which i will be changing soon hopefully!!) pissed a load of oil through it... might even manage to get this suspension malarky sorted out before billing too (well... front's maybe..) I need to pull my finger out and work my balls off to help you guys minimize what needs doing!! but the heap will be there... for one final photo shoot before it gets assaulted!! Guest
Funnily enough Steve, I think you could use carb cleaner on your K & N. That works very well at getting rid of oil on other things and it's only about £2.50 for a aerosol can. But please try it on a tiny bit first just in case! (If it doesn't work, don't be tempted to try sniffing it to drown your sorrows though - my goodness, it's, like, far out, MAN!) A classic reply there by the way Ian.[] (Hint, have a look at a few of the earlier posts again.) I think that might be what Clive is alluding to (if you do allude occasionally Clive?[][]) Cheers, Joe.
Moon Monkey
sounds like a good plan to sort it all out at billing... as to the carb cleaner business i can try it on the little breather filter thing i've got sticking out of the rocker cvr... that'll probs end up getting binned when i get round to getting a bit of hose to stop the engine getting covered in (more) crap... my name's steve by the way Ian[][][] even though when i was working at the casino on the day i left the were still calling me ian... was even asked if i was going to steve's leaving do!!![][] needless to say i didn't go in the end... sure they didn't miss me! Moon Monkey
not happy.... foot went through the floor and now i can see the full extent of my chassis rail... not looking good... jacking point has also gone... think it's going to be a case of throwing in the towel with this one i'm afraid... I'm sure there's another helpless manta that's probably more saveable than the heap...[][] unless i break it and possibly get enough to buy a reasonable coupe.... but we'll see what happens... Moon Monkey
how much would that cost though? Just cause I'm REALLY skint at the moment... and I realy can't do without a car... would it be possible to reshell it in a weekend? was literally just going to come down with no seats or anything (except the drivers one of course!!) if this might be possible to do it in a weekend then that could possibly be a better option... got any yellow paint???[][] B934RJA... soon to be pimped... and evil bay is bad for your health...
