Danny D114BCW
Whoever locked the thread don't until we have replied! A tad one sided! Simon I was asking a question which I think was valid. I don't for one minute think anything was going on but I was wanting to clear up what a lot were asking me and thinking? I have been in the club many years and know how much work goes on so don't get precious you know I would never stir the poo pot it's hard enough doing the jobs and roles in the club without extra crap. As for Kevs Manta Simon sold it as he said and Kevin bought it cash. It was the club saving another car which is underway to being restored so good work and nice one to Simon & co and Kevin. Anyway it sounds like the mantas will rot where they stand which is a real shame but at least the club tried. lepo5
To Maher the hermit, I also have been a club member for that amount of time and I take great offence to your quote "Ive been active as a committee member in the omoc for over 26 years and never heard that the club owns or bought an ascona 400... where on earth did you get that from because its total rubbish". Now as things usually go on this forum this will be locked or deleted (going back to the dictatorship days a bit here) but I will make enquiries here and contact some previous members and totally pi** on your statement I know I am right here, maybe your part of the well known clique on this forum but my information is good. A warning as well should this thread be locked/deleted or warning issued, I will take it all the way, try me! GTEPETE
I remember an Ascona 400 being sold for £3500 many years ago at one of our Stoneleigh Shows, but don't remember it belonging to the club...it was broken for spares due to rust...they still have the engine/box and rear axle, but are not for sale..
