Sutty2006
I’m slowly getting round to hunting out all the parts for my 76 B1. I’m currently struggling to work out what I need for the front seat belts. I can’t remember if these belts were already disconnected when I bought it back in 2008, but I know that the passenger one is missing. The drivers belt is present, but I’m struggling to attach it to the inner sill. I have a bolt hole, which I assumed was for bolting the rail into, but I can not hook the other end into anything. Has anyone got pictures of an EARLY B1 with this old belt setup? I’ve got two pairs of belt rails you see, and the belt that is left in place, has no metal hook/loop on the end to bolt into the sill. I found this in a box? But also have one of these bolted into the top of the passenger B pillar. if that is the part and it’s correct, I’ve no idea how I can get it into the belt loop
mantasrme
Early cars didn't have the chrome rod, their seat belts looked like this. I'll have a look in my stash i have a load of seat belts i think i have some early ones

If you have 1x early fat buckle aswell then that’s everything I need.
Kr1s
If pictures of the ones in my 1980 coupe would help, I can post them later. Cheers Chris
Jonathan Pounsett
This is the setup on my B Top looks like it’s back to front until you see it pulled across someone’s shoulder. The clever swivel bit on the end makes it sit nicely. The bottom is spring loaded to lay flat on the floor when it’s not in use. Rear seat passengers are not tripped when getting in or out of the car. Edited May 24 by Jonathan Pounsett 1
Ems
Never realised the B type were spring loaded. My old Cavalier Sportshatch didn't have those serrated washers and springs, leaving a trip hazard as mentioned above.
Kr1s
I think this is a bit superfluous as it's the same as others have already shown, but as promised this is how mine looks... 1
Sutty2006
Thanks guys. Yeah I am missing that bottom piece. Never seen it before so I’m guessing previous owner cut it out in the 90s. Which is annoying as the rest of the belt is there! But I think I do have that serated part! Hopefully David has a set for me 👌
cam.in.head
you will need the complete belt with arm attached as its not removeable ( unless you cut and bend then reweld but obviously not a good idea !) also i did away with the top plastic arms and swivels as they stopped the belt retracting properly ( retract mech gets weaker with age) and doesnt affect their usage by any notable amount .
