I don’t have adjustable mirrors so this isn't of any use to me personally, but I do like to see how people develop an idea, put it into practice and solve the problem.

With parts getting harder and harder to find the make do and mend approach will be the only way to progress things soon.

Nice work!

Snap on 17mm socket for the outer diameter (,23.84mm)

12mm cheep socket for the inner diameter (17mm)

the inner diameter is a bit tight but works fine

As you can see on photo made the spring bigger

Great info mate, ty

Went out in the manta today, still doing shake down runs so only covered 60 miles, got it on some back roads very twisted roads.

On one back road ( only known to locals really) behind a Mercedes which took of like a rocket, game on .only about 2 miles long but l think the Mercedes driver was impressed ( not racing going at a good pace)

This manta goes extremely well never missed a beat.

Even boy racers round my way sit back and have a good long look, you can almost hear them saying “what the hell is that in front”

That’s the problem the sunroof has been bounded (l hope) in so the is no outline of the sunroof in the roof skin

lt has screws going through the roof skin into the sunroof ( l think as l can’t see how it’s cocked up)

Going to dig out the cocky out of the roof, try and find, get a outline of the sun roof

So the the manta is on the road and running spot on

Now getting to the small bit that need sorting

The indicators will not self cancel

when starting it will rev to 2,000 RPM for about 30 to 60 seconds from cold

The is bound to be a few more along the way

The self cancelling relies on two very small springs in the centre hub. Hopefully they are just gummed up with fluff. Try a squirt of WD40. If they get jammed solid they bend and the little plastic tip can get damaged or dislodged. I think I posted some photos up when I rebuilt mine. I’ll see if I can find them.

Hope these help you solve the problem. You can see that the plastic bit is in a different position in these two photos. One is stuck but I don’t know which. They should be the same.

Going to try plan F got a house rad trim delivered come with some stuff to cover it when getting delivered,

so have cut it fit inside the sunroof looks well

I am after some roof liner in gray about 36 x 24 inches , don’t what to paint it as will not loo right ( l know it not right really)

Have ordered some trim to go around to roof to secure the headliner

A off cut from a old head liner will do as l fit new stuff,l think it will stick out

l know it’s not right but have bottle out of cutting for now

If it’s just gummed up with crap flooding it with brake cleaner then WD40 might free them off. Blow it out with an airline if possible. If they are bent or broken the wheel will have to come off to get access to fix or replace them.

Thanks for the info will get around to this and check in a few weeks.

Looking for a MAF adapter ,can’t find one which is 100% correct,so l though l will have a go at making one,  how hard can it be.

Had a look about found exhaust pipe, flat metal plate,

Squared one end of the pipe, cut a square out of the flat plate, welded the pipe to the flat plate, very small pin holes in the weld, sealed the joints.

Hopefully will finish it tomorrow

Here’s some photos
