Got the O/S front seat out tonight ( come out with okay)

Remove the pin that though the brake pedal, which was sized onto the brake servo did take 30 minutes of tapping and lubricant

pin is in good condition

Give the O/S chassis a quick clean, looks in excellent condition

See that wee drain hole on top inner corner of the chassis, put a plug in it.

It's a drain into your chassis legs, genius design by Opel to make you buy a calibra in 10yrs time.

A seal from the door pin will work, with some tiger seal for extra protection.

Honestly what where they thinking🤔

You could fill with cavity protection before sealing.

And yes there is the same hole on other chassis leg which drains even more water.

The roof on the manta is not in great condition ( not that bad ,but you know how is go’s)

l have 4 choices

1/ sand down the roof and repair ( unknown condition under the body filler)

replace the head lining

2/ Dig out the body filler and get the sun roof working again.?

3/ Fit a Clio sun roof this will get rid of the body filler ect

4/ Leave it alone and live with if ( for a few years at least)

Today sorted the paint on the rear bumper out

Not a best result, but looks okay

Fitted it the manta, all 3 number plate lights working

it’s a nice fit as well ,

When stand back it looks really good, l think if it was 100% perfect it whoud look out of place it’s a 34 years old Manta

Put the first coat of paint on the front bumper ( got a blob of paint of the gun ) Nice big run from the blob going t let it go hard then cut the blob out then rub it down

The front wing is back on

Good progress this weekend, looking after the granddaughter for the next 3 days then back to work

Having a rethink on the f##cing hatefully headlight adjustment holder

The problem is getting the adjusted secured to the headlights and the body but they have to adjust

Got to try this ( have done a little Monck up with bits l found in the garage)

brake pipe flatten then rapped around the head brackets, solder a 6 mm copper pipe to the brake pipe (put some play-doe around the bottom of 6 mm pipe)

Will tap out a 7 mm into the 6 mm pipe before soldering on the brake pipe

Fit 7 mm rod onto brackets, the springs l have fit very nicely on the 6 mm pipe

Hopefully this will work as l have already ordered the bits

Some photos of the Monck up (the bolt is a 7 mm which will not get used )

Once set, they shouldn't need moved, if this helps.

You are getting there..... And adjuster for square light🤔

This is the most positive l am about the adjustment mechanism

It all depends if l can secure the 6 mm pipe to the brake pipe

I'll check with my brother and let you know he knows how much we paid I can't remember. We bought it a while ago but didn't end up needing it.
