1200bandit
Today flattened the n/s and it turned out good I am glad that I painted the rear 1/4 , as it would looked really bad as the door is very good (if that makes sense) it looked ok before the door was painted

Jessopia74
Wow you just reminded me of my first manta that was auto and blew a piston ring on m62 at 3am. Took me gallons of oil to get home and it had wrecked the windscreen too (etched in by wiper having to clear oil off screen) ah those days 😀

cam.in.head
dont use any harsh solvents like thinners or petrol but panel wipe should be ok if you have some. and then boot polish or some armourall if you wish.

1200bandit
You should never just check the paint because this happens Tonight check the paint on to O/S ,Looking down the door can see the under seal line (just about) Checked the rear 1/4 needs some work ,the paint was not that bad but l got the paint ,the petrol flap and the back of the flap did not look nice When l first checked the rear 1/4 they looked ok , now the rest is done they don’t look so good used a heat gun to remove the under seal then sanded down ,found that the doors are relatively rust free lt was very quick to do , l thought it would be Friday before l got to this point When you get a big tin of cockney and got more or less a full tin left. This is rust free Project images are available to Club Members Only, Click to become an OMOC Member. Project images are available to Club Members Only, Click to become an OMOC Member. Need plenty of light on the lower half when n painting due to the beautiful shape of our cars. Sometimes works against us.
