TheRealExile
It's back on Ebay again, bit out of my price range mind. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/opel-manta-evolution-v8-coupe/263033809472?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D888007%26algo%3DDISC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D43782%26meid%3D8ad0d4798e114434be7e930d5a433729%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D2%26sd%3D292159860075
Mickfrad
Popped up on eBay again. Starting to look like a good buy at 11.5k https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263619074374

For me I still like it,..but if you have noticed nik has extended the rear arches and that spoils the rare evo kit for me...however I can see why he has done it. TheRealExile
It's probably great fun to drive and like you say a good price considering what will have been spent. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....I'm sure it will find a good home soon.
TheRealExile
Now on with a much lower starting price, it does have a reserve mind....
Rapierdave
It should now reach its true value, but i suspect the reserve will be set higher than that.
TheRealExile
Keeping any eye on it, I must admit to having a cheeky bid even though I have nowhere to put it but it's gone beyond my rather shallow pockets now, I get he must have spent a fortune but hope the reserve isn't set too high as it's a car that deserves to be back to it's pomp and driven. Danny D114BCW
It must be at that price for the engine and running gear as there isn't much left on it that makes it a Manta, at £7000 i would be taking the money and running.
paulmanta
That's had a lot of work to put the B pillar back in then, back in the "day" it was made pillarless. Is it a re-shell or a different car ?
TheRealExile
Agree, thought at the right price though I'd have a dabble as it would be ear to ear grin fun. I'd take it back to a single colour for starters! anyways moment of madness has gone now and the reserve still isn't met
starmist
Think the B pillar just clips back in.

Rapierdave
It's a good guide to what it's worth imo.
GerryC400
Cheap car I would say , wheels and body kit if you can get them would be £7k ......... Body kit I priced at £3.5 k about 10 years ago . Not easy to get either wheels or kit . Having something similar myself ,I often find people either love it or hate it. It’s always interesting to hear what people think. The v8 always goes well with this style of car , people expect it to match the looks.. Build one for less than the reserve ............. no chance ! Good luck with the sale.
evo3000
Nik has put it back on ebay again with a BIN price of £12.500 With the big v8 and the huge kit,its well and truly in thunder saloon territory..could be turned into a stars and stripes replica maybe. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/opel-manta-v8-project-car/263744054055?hash=item3d685ee327:g:J8QAAOSwU8xa2NX1 Edited June 11, 2018 by evo3000
®evo03
Has to be the widest manta ever, does it have an evo kit with 400 arch added! Honestly bang for bucks yes!!! Few mods and as evo3000 says stars and stripes rep! Not that im into flags
Monaco Blue
Wishful thinking at £12,500 no matter what it actually cost to build 20 years ago. As has been mentioned previously, I doubt he will get many offers more than £7500. More so as it needs some work done to it. It's definitely a marmite car. He would probably be better holding on to it.

I personally prefered it in its Fast Cars incarnation days....in the blue paintwork with the supercharged monza engine and that's the way it should of been kept, and with that in mind and the history of the car with the mag feature would of been a very desirable sellable car, more so than mega manta perhaps.
